Just got my first Commander, Words cannot begin to describe AWESOME! My question is the black-t blade, I remember reading in a past string about someone using marine tuff-cloth and it turning the black a funny color. I was planning on using the same thing. Any suggestions on what to use? As a side note, I got my commander from Bayou Lafourche knife works. It's the cheapest place I've found on the net. I've bought alot of knives from Roger and I've had nothing but great results. The first Commander I bought had the blade centering problem, I sent it back and he was out so he ordered me one and I had it in hand within a week. Roger is also a blade fourms sponser.

Commanders kick much ass.

As to your Marine Tuff Cloth question. I can only tell you that I use regular Tuff Clothes all the time, including on Black and Green T'ed items. I have never experienced a color change. I don't know if the Marine Cloth would be different.

If anyone else cn't give you an answer, you may want to go email the company directly. info@sentrysolutions.com

I've had no problems with marine tuf cloth. No discoloration or anything. I applied it last hmm... a month ago.

I agree with you on the commander. I got mine via ups, I let my girlfriend open it up and when I saw the blade, it impressed me for some reason. I just like the shape of it. And then I got it in my hands %)

I also saw the I&I exclusive and it got me thinking that I would definitely buy a larger type emerson with a wave. If there were ES1-Ms that were decently priced, or larger SOFCKS, they would be awesome and I would definitely buy them.

Why I mention this here in this thread? Oh, I guess because I was talking about the blade on the commander.

I've used both Marine & Regular Tuff Cloth on almost everything. I haven't experienced any discoloration of any sort. I haven't experienced any rust either.

I've always used a 3M dry silicone lube on my black-t blades. Works great.
BTW,..Bayou Lafourche knife works DOES have great prices, but I just bought my new Commander bts from www.botachtactical.com for $149.99. I thought the price was a mistake until I called and ordered from them. I had the blade in my possession within 36 hours of ordering. This Commander is unbelievably silky smooth and silent. Yeah, it's a daily carry for sure.
