This is the one and only one I will make this way. I now have a healthy respect for those who venture into this style guard and handle. I'm sticking with my old favorite style from now on.
Any way this is a follow up piece to one that is currently on the hip of one of our Special Forces group in the Middle East. I will be making one more in this style blade before I decide which one is a keeper design. Tang is similiar to the one shown on the available link as Black Velvet Next Generation.
ViewImage.dll

Blade is Flat ground and edge quenched 1/4" 5160 that has been Bead blasted and Industrial Hardchromed for protection (Same hardchrome as used on engine Crankshafts). Pinned thru the tang with a 1/4" Micarta pin. Handle is a solid block of Micarta and guard is the same material.
Suprising light feel on this for such a solid blade, weighing in at 11oz W/O the sheath.
Blade length is 6 3/4" tip to front of guard 11 1/2" OAL
Custom Kydex Sheath in the works.
More pics here.

Guess it would help to have a pic:rolleyes:
Sorry for the low quality pics I will do some more.

That is one of my favorites of yours!! Very cool :D

You should make more!!

BTW, looking forward to seeing the sheath :D

The radius between the handle and guard is nothing but Elbow grease and Talent (Practice) along with the right equipment.
:D Now if I could just get Rob Frink to trade me a KMG1 grinder for some knives...
