Black Wash knives. Looking for more ...

picked up a Black Washed CKF SSE and it's really growing on me.
No need to worry about scratches, it already has a worn in look

Started looking at what else is out there with BW finish , not DLC all black
Just Washed black. Saw a few things , liked the ZT 801BW but the newer issue is
Vastly improved hard to buy on finish alone

If you like Black wash , what's your favorite. ( pictures if you have 'em)

Only BW knife I own is a Kershaw Link.


I've since bought the M390 version in SW..that's what I'm carrying these days and love it.

Technically I think "blackwashed" knives are first coated completely, then some of the coating is abraded away with one medium or another, leaving the "blackwashed" look.

I like them myself. A couple of favorites (it's hard to tell from the picture on the second one, but that Swish has a black coated+stonewashed blade and I love it dearly):

I love ZTs Black Wash finish a lot. I also have no problem taking a full Black Coated knife and using it enough to give it the black wash look. This is my Hinderer Two Tone Half Track that was Black DLC and everyone now thinks is Battle Black (Hinderer term for Black Wash)
