Black wire clips?

Hi all,

I'm keen on getting the new Native III, but are there factory original black wire clips?

The reason I ask is because I often wear dark trousers and the last thing I want to do is draw attention to the clip - my EDC is an Endura with the old integral plastic clip which is absolutely ideal - I just want an excuise for a new knife :)

Black clips anyone?

thanks,

No way to blacken them at this time. The clip is an "aged" ph steel. Once we've decided we are happy with the material and the design, then we'll look into black.

I would argue that even for concealment fanatics, black wire clips aren't necessary. The new wire clips have a dull, matte surface that is nearly as non-reflective as a bead blast (excepting the Meerkat I think). Add that to their minute surface area, they are pretty much invisible.

I will second Carlos' comments. I normally carry a Ti Salsa at work and not one person has given it a second look. Today I'm carrying a Native III at work and the wire clip is very minimal in what you see. Even on my jeans if you're not looking for it, you'll probably never see it. I think one of the difficult things to judge is most photos are of the clip against the black scale of the knife. Clipped to your pants unless you have black pants, the clip becomes less noticable.
