After a very patient wait since the release of the Blue Yojimbo, my black G-10 Yojimbo has finally arrived all the way to Auckland, New Zealand!
Lock up is solid (unlike a Lil Temp I had for a short while) and ergos are great. The index finger cutout feels totally secure and I dig the way the middle finger "pushes/pulls" on the middle in teh saber grip.
It's ugly as sin.
But the beauty is in the execution of what it is capable of
It's locking 3/4 of the way over the tang, so should be plenty of room for wear.
IMPROVEMENTS
- I'd really prefer a black clip rather than shiny. I'll probably send it off to local coater to get it nice and black
- Why don't they radius the G-10 on the >inner< side? It's sharp - and quite pointy on the index-middle finger notch. I can fix it with some sandpaper but a factory original radius on both sides would have been much cooler.
Overall - it's in my EDC rotation now. Slim, light, sharp - rather scary looking tho...
