I was due to upgrade my Verizon phone, and to my surprise, my sweet and wonderful spouse got me Blackberry Tour 9630; which is what I wanted!! This is my first Blackberry, and I LOVE this gadget!! It is awesome. I am going to completely phase out the Palm TX, and just go with the Blackberry. I am still learning about it, but I had a ball playing with it, and learning things today. This was such a nice surprise today!!! I wanted to share my excitement with you guys!!! I KNOW I am not the only gadget geek here. ;):D

What's a Blackberry

Congrats on a great new toy! :D
He's a good guy to get you a phone like that!

Check out www.crackberry.com for everything on Blackberries.

I have the Curve, and Mrs. Powernoodle has a Bold. There is a new variant in the pipeline which is essentially a smaller, "better" Bold, which I will have.

Consider an otterbox belt case if you are into such things. Armored, built tough. Excellent warranty. I've broken it twice - my fault, and thats not easy - and they send out a new one no prob.

See also zedge.net for every ringtone you can imagine. Free and safe.

cheers

I've had the Tour through Verizon for about two months. Like it very much...across the board improvement over the curve....which I still have as a work phone. Knives and gadgets...and thoughful spouses....what else is there? (besides beer)

One thing I like about the Blackberry is that I can set up filters that give a distinctive sound to "important" emails (Mrs. Powernoodle, boys' school) and a different notifier for work email, and yet another for everything else. So when I get an email, I know from the notifier sound whether it needs immediate attention.

I've had the Bold since it came out a year or so ago and love it. But I've been using BlackBerrys since they came out with the old 7250 years and years ago. They've come a long way since then.

Just got mine at the beginning of this month and am enjoying it a ton as well :) Much better than my ancient flip phone (6 years old, it had a 0.3 megapixel camera, woohoo!)

My only gripe is the camera,,, Seems to be very touchy, pictures have their color dulled a good bit and the flash is ungodly. But then again if I wanted to take great pictures I'd buy a camera I guess :)

Glad you're enjoying yours :D

I've had the Palm Treo 650, the Blackberry Curve, and now the Tour. I'm in an area where Altell is really the only viable service provider and Blackberry has the best reception. I still long after those Iphones; but the Tour seems best of those I've tried. It is a good device.

I love my old bb curve. bbm me at 308e06bb to talk knives and whatever else.
