Hi Folks...
A couple of days ago I purchased an EKI® Blackbird,:D and I noticed that it had the numbers 1561 under one of the "triangles" of the EKI® logo, and with a ® under the other "triangle".

Is this number a serial number? or is it there for another purpose?

!Thanks in advance! for any responses:p

John, then what about the numbers which are under the thumbstud of my P-Sark? it has the patent numbers there, and also some other numbers, what may those numbers signify then?
as always,

!thanks in advance!

Serial numbers can appear in different places on different models. I've even seen them on two different locations on different CQC7Bs.

Note to others out there: Not all EKI knives are serialized. Between '89 and early 2001 (I think), most were not serialize. Usually just special runs and the first of a given model :D

ahz..
I see.....guess that helped to clear some doubts I had in mind...thanks for the help thus far...I think the Blackbird is a great knife..what's your opinion on this bird?

Personally I think this would be my perfect "gentleman's folder" as it is slim enough and also thin enough for carry...the commander's body seems a little too wide for me, and i especially like the way the handle ends with a little point, and when clipped to my side pockets, the knife just seems to blend in with my pants...love this knife..

oh, I did some work to my knife too, i polished all the screws(handle screws and pivot), and also the clip, and it looks darned cool to me now.

My opinion? Personally I think the Blackbird is a vast improvement over the Raven. I always wanted a Raven, but never bought one. This is hard for a Glock guy to say, but I never got into the Polymer body of the Raven. Loved the design, but the body was a bit . . squishy.

The Blackbird keeps all the great design of the Raven and provides a more solid body.

John
