I have one of these on my Mossberg 835, which is my dedicated turkey gun. It does help tame the recoil of those magnum turkey loads, but there is minimal to no drop to the stock. You have to hunker down to line up the sights and your face is right on the stock. So.... pull the trigger, get a 12 ga. punch to the face. Easy to deal with when you are killing a turkey, harsh and unacceptable when you are trying to pattern a load and/or brand of ammo first. I actually had a bruise on my face after my patterning session, which was very limited in the first place.

I have one on my Mossberg 500, but went with the powerpak cheeckpeice. It adds a bit of height to the stock. Works great for me.
