Blackhawk UK Special Forces Knife

All the specs are there in the link you posted.

As to any other info, who knows ? I dont see it being issued to the SAS, SBS or any other group.
Its being touted as a remoddle of the Fairburn commando dagger as far as i can tell.

Im sure its a nice dagger but my cash would go else where.

A buddy of mine spend several times in the royal marines corps... extrema ratio was the choice if own items were used...not blackhawk...

Form my point of view another blackhawk marketing strategy.

not sure if it's issued gear or not. my gut reaction would be marketing gimick, but it is possible it is actualy issued gear. it's entirely possible that it's being privately purchased by individuals, but the same can be said of practicaly every other major manurefacturer of knives available in europe.

I know a place where people may know, I'll ask.

For the record, this knife was designed in cooperation with Edgar Brothers, a tactical gear distributor in the UK with close ties to the UK special forces. It was designed and will be produced at the request of specific SF units. At the request of those units, we don't name them.

The first production of the knife will be specially marked and shipped directly to the UK. Later production, due to arrive in the US around May 2009, will be comercially available.

Nobody has seen it in the field yet because it hasn't been delivered yet. However, it is the real deal.

Stay safe,

Mike

Looks like a SOG daggart to me with a super secret men in skimask marketing yarn added to pull in the punters.:o

With those 'finger grooves' on both sides of the handle, I'm not sure how comfortable that handle would be when actually used...

If you get a chance to handle one first, you might want to do that before plunking down any hard-earned money.

Thanks for the info,Mr. Janich. Can you tell us the blade's thickness and width?
Also I'd like to know more about the sheath.
Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Tecolote

Pretty cool knife - if you're into symmetrical coffin-handled daggers... :)

thats a video where they show it and talk about the sheath a little

Why oh why did you trick me into clicking a link featuring everyone's favorite crooked-mouth, knife-reviewing blowhard? Don't link to him. Ever.
