Wow, that is a bummer about the fridge. Kind of funny...kind of sad...ok, it's funny
I was doing the same thing in the garage freezer a few weeks ago. Except I was using one of my Vanguard fixed blades. It's the one I keep in my tool box for pillockian chores. Then, I thought about how easy it would be to bust through the freezer with that blade. and used a windshield ice scraper to finish the job.
The Nighthawk is a great knife. I had a two-tone that ended up in the mid-west somewhere with a good Buck Brother. Missed it like heck and got myself an all black one.

dugh .... were did they go?No, but I wouldn't send it back, because we don't have any more.
Anyone else have a 651 NHPS with the "BUCK" on the blade not being stamped straight?
I like the Nighthawk a lot, ever since I used one to help process an 800+ lb boar. Did not need to sharpen it till we were done. I also had used a Vangaurd to help skin him. Loved the rubber grips on both knives. Now since I have relocated to here, it seems all I get to do is trim bark off of trees to make baskets some of the time! Pepole where sure surpissed by how much I could do with a 110, even if it was one in 420hc...![]()
