Hey Sal, (or whomever can help!)
I just purchased a Blackhawk sight unseen as a companion shelf sitter to my Renegade. Upon receiving the knife, I notice that the Blackhawk has an Aluminum handle instead of G10 like it's big brother.
Were the knives produced with both materials? I've only seen the G10 listed in the older catalog.
Thanks in advance.

i believe that they were both originally produced with aluminum handles and were switched to G-10 in the early '90s. they are sweet knives, can't wait to see the run where they use up the blades they have. it should be sweet.

The4th - The original Blackhawks were made with a C&C machined checkering on 6061-T6 Aluminum. Later switched to G-10.

Renegades were made in G-10 only.

Aha, found it! Blackhawks originally al handled in '93 and switched to G10 in '95. Err, so there you go..

Ewok - We have most of the parts already built. Have to grind the blades and assemble. probably sometime later this year or next.

Safe and Knife Co. is advertising aluminum and G10 C24 Blackhawks for $68. Plain or toothy. Must have been a stash recently "dug" up. Hmmm...
