Jane Collins would like for us to convey to you a message-It is with much sadness that I relay to you that Blackie Collins has passed away at age 71. He died doing what he loved to do most, ride with his lady, Jane. At this time I do not have words to express our grief. I will post arrangements when they become available.

I just heard about this from DDR. My sincere condolences. I'm fortunate to have met Blackie this year at Blade Show.
 
I spent quite a bit of time talking to Blackie and Steve Paolantonio at the Blade Show. I'm shocked.
Blackie was one of the greats that never quite got the recognition he deserved.
 
Very sad my condolences to his family. I was just talking with a friend about his contributions over the years.

So long Blackie. You'll be missed.

Blackie loved his motorcycles. I think he told me he had 14 bikes. I guess if you've got to go the best way is while doing something you love. Blackie was a great guy with an ornery and irrasable wit and he always had that "Donkey eatin' briars" (his words) grin on his face.

Sorry to see you go Blackie. To Jane, other family and friends, our prayers are with you.
 
Sorry to see, I always admired the man. Innovative and passionate about everything in his life. My heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
 
Year before last, he was doing knife signings at the Blade show. I feel extra lucky having one of those now. He was sure a knife designing guru.
 
Prayers from Pennsylvania for Mr. Collins and his family. I met him and his bride at one time - Great people!!
