I now have found the ultimate knife and I have no need for any others other than my plastic knife at McDonald's to cut my pan cakes and my Ontario sp10 marine raider to rape the forest with.

My goodness why is not a M14 and blackjack125 given to every newborn infant born in the USA? This is the greatest knife i have ever and I mean ever owned. I now have no need for any other knife (except for two mentioned above).

The knife has perfect geometry, perfect materials, perfect feel. This is "THE" knife. Stop looking and being teased by lesser whores and get the best, the BlackJack 125.

Not joking, I need no others, just thru my Steel Will Cutjack in D2 in the trash. Kept the box because its a nice box but trashed the flipper and I really liked that flipper knife but my 125 aint going to see me fondle any other knife (except two mentioned above).

I love how its not perfect in shape and you can tell its been hand ground. I like the tapper of the handle. I love the handle length and blade length and rosco length, this is the greatest knife ever produced.

Every person who logs on here should instantly be told about this knife so they can find the grail at the beginning of the journey instead of years of want and disappointment with only hopes of stumbling upon this perfect knife.

To the maker of this knife, I want to have your baby and if anybody gives you any trouble just let me know and i will get my big brother if you dont have one.

I am serious though, it is the knife i have been looking for for years.

Seriously, this is the knife word? 100 guys talking about the newest m390 folder to cut bananas and how cool it matches their GShock watch.

At least something on the plastic pancake knife. How about how the plastic sheath really hold the knife and napkin really well until needed. Anybody cleared any forest with a Marine Raider latley or are we waiting on a m390 version.

Glad you are so happy with it. Have you ever compared it directly with the Randall it was copied from?

eveled eveled : When it comes to knives, there's nothing new under the sun. Even Bo Randall took inspiration from Bill Scagel. And we've already, in another thread, determined that Blackjack and Randall knives are similar, but not the same. If you don't like them, don't buy one, but don't look down on me if I choose to. And I know the difference.

EDIT: I have a Blackjack Magnum Camp Knife. I also have a Kabar/Becker BK-5 Magnum Camp Knife. They're both Magnum Camp Knives, but completely different. Made by different companies, from different steels, of different thickness, with different grinds, different handle materials, and a different sheath. The Blackjack uses mass and a convex edge to do the job, the Becker uses speed and a flat grind to do the work. Both were designed by, or with input from, Jerry Fisk. Is the Blackjack a piece of crap because it's a Blackjack? Or is the Becker a piece of crap for copying Blackjack, with a few subtle changes? Neither, of course, they're completely different knives. And, hey, both CUT STUFF!!!!

And while you're out defending Randall Made Knives from evil, ya might talk to Harvey Draper, Ralph Bone, Enedino Deleon, and a WHOLE BUNCH of other custom makers who used Randall, and Scagel, for inspiration. Rant over.

I have a Blackjack 125 and 124. The Trail Guide preceded these. I picked it up used (as new) at a knife show.... same design, just a bit smaller than the 125 (4.5") which was made in the 90's. Yeah. I like these knives. They are all done in A-2. I generally don't wear larger knives, but the Blackjack 1-7 would get the nod if I wanted to carry such a knife. I have a couple Randall's too. Glad you like your 125.

When I got the 125, I thought it would be my last woods knife..... that was a few years ago and I have kept buying knives since. I have no grails; just knives.

I hate to burst the OPs bubble now that he's found his grail, but Blackjack is coming out with a 126. It's going to be "1" better than the 125...…..

The 125 is probably my favorite knife too. Really a great design and execution.
I misplaced mine for a year or so and that was depressing. I almost bought another one but it turned up inside one of my day packs that I hadn't used since. Felt good to have it back. There really aren't many knives that I would replace if lost, but that is one of them.

We'll see about the 127. It has been out a while. There are other Blackjacks, but they are a bit different.

I am definitely interested in looking at the 126.

It was a yes or no question. You make a lot of assumptions about me that are not true. I’m not defending anyone. Or insulting you for your decision. I Just asked a simple question.

Have you made a direct side by side comparison?

If you can’t answer the question don’t go on another rant and don’t make anymore assumptions.

J JamesofArc where’s the pics o_O

Dont know how to do pictures on here and dont have time to learn. I'm a truck driver and start driving at 3 am and finish my day until 5 pm. At home i know how using phorobucket but I don't know how to on my phone.

As for the 126, how can they make it better? Does it come with an ice cream dispenser or something.

At home i cut up a lot of meat. I'll go to 10 Box and buy big chunks of beef and then bring them home and cut them into steaks as i need them.
My Old Hickory butcher knife did ok and used one for years. Then used a few in D2 including my Steel Will Cut Jack flipper which did really well but then i got my cook a BK 5 and she feel in love with it and I like it too but my 125 beats them all. It cuts better and for longer between blade touch ups. I believe it's the convex edge that makes the difference. It just does not dull and it feels so good in my hand. When i use it on Brisket it parts like the red sea and brisket tends to be semi tough and stringy.

If I can ever make it home for long enough time i am going to make me a sheep skin vest like Clint Eastwood in his movies and I so want to use this knife.

The 125 has a strong tang and quality materials. Until I find one in 3.5 inches so i can daily carry this one will be close to me. Cuts some of the straightest cuts in my bologna sandwich that any knife has made.

This is my first convex grind knife so i am going to have to get some compound to stropp with.

Is the 126 like Spinal Tapps 11? It's 10 (the loudest) plus one.

We all know these blackjack knives are similar to Randle made but who cares. Randle aint no better or worse than BlackJack, they are just more expensive.

I am just curious how they compare in person side by side.

You are obviously a fan boy and looking for controversy. I’m interested in the knife.

I can only assume you haven’t compared them directly because you refuse to answer.

I’ve never held a Blackyack so I can’t say it’s the same as a Randall. If you’ve never held a Randall you shouldn’t either.

O, sorry bout that, did not know you were talking to me.

I have never used a Randal Made but I have handled them at AG Russell's shop and truth be known the Randal Made are to blocky and dont feel as good in my hand. The finish wasent even as good as Boker stuff and the v grind just was not impressive. To lay out 650 bucks would have been hard for me to do. The Randel is nice but to me it's more hype than fact.

I definitely get were you are coming from. They seem very similar in style and performance. Blackjack knives have a loyal following, so they must perform well. They are less expensive and easier to find without a wait.

The Randall is forged, as far as I know the Blackjack is not. That is were the price difference comes into the equation. Forging makes a difference to me.

Again I’m glad you found your ultimate knife. It’s a far cry from the flat grind mk1 you were looking for. But sometimes you don’t know what you want until you see it.
