Trying to decide on which one. I have large hands(4.25" across).
Any thoughts?

I had the 155 and sold it within 1 week. I also have the izula 2 and have owned it for a year or 2, and see's quite a bit of use. I feel like I maybe could have liked the 155 more if I had the scales for it. There is one right now on knifeworks inventory clean up for 40 something.

What about the Survive Knives Necker II ? http://surviveknives.com/knives/gso-series/necker-ii.html I have large hands and find it great

Similar experience here - had both. Still have my Izzy II. If stainless/rust is an issue then the Blackjack might tip the balance. I had my Blackjack with the scales but it just didn't feel anywhere near as comfortable as my Izzy.

JMHO...

The Izula is great for small/normal sized hands, I have small hands and they fit mine perfectly. So I think you should look for other options :-)

Yea the 154cm kind of made me want to keep it in regards to that but since then my Izula2 hasn't had any rust issues at all, even in the etching. But either way the izula was a much more useful size and comfortable. On the other hand the 155 came verrrry decently sharp, where the esee came from the factory with a messed up edge. From the tip through the belly through most of the flat was fine and even but about a cm from the choil there was some effed up mess where you could tell it had been lifted while grinding and then put back down uneven with the previous grinding. There was almost no apex in the area, so about 35 minutes out of the box to line everything up and I'm in no way anal about stupid tree toppings edges. Also one scale was completely out of line with the other and the tang, but that was just a simple loosen the bolts and tighten again.

Both. I carry my 155 necker in a city sheath from KSF (with ID and cards) and have for about 2 years now. It's very handy. I keep my Izula 2 on my belt or in a pocket (when wearing shorts) and it sees plenty of action as well. I tend to use the 155 on fruits and such (apples at work, etc) and use the Izula for non-food items.
I love them both.
Just my 2 cents.

I wanted to like the 155 but sold it and kept the Izula. I like the handle design of the Izula a lot more. I also like a flat grind in a knife this size. I've never had rusting issues and I've used Izulas in or near the ocean plenty of times. Of course I don't neglect them either.
