I did some trading recently and acquired a Blackjack Becker BK4 Machax. Blackjack is who produced the Becker line before both Kabar and Camillus, from 92-97 I believe. It is 1/4" thick and much heavier than the Kabar version, and this particular one is a "sterile edition" with no roll marks and a lower grind and originally came in a grey powercoat, there is also no pommel. This one was convexed by the previous owner. I took off the scales and replaced the hardware; I noticed the handles are much lighter than the current ones and feel more fragile. The original leather sheath has held up very well over the years and still looks great and holds the blade snugly. I haven't had a chance to go out and test it, hopefully I'll get out into the woods this weekend.
Notice how low the grind is on this compared to regular BK4's
Sheath still looks great
