Blackjack bk3 with black coating???

Anyone ever seen a blackjack bk3 with a black coating?

I have an opportunity to buy one but Im not sure the black coating was put on in the factory as the seller is implying.

photo is a little blurry but its the only one I have.

I'll say that the serrations match what I've seen on Blackjack BK3's...which is also to say that it doesn't match Camillus' serration pattern. I don't have enough familiarity with the Blackjack line to say whether they moved to a black coating; but there are some here that do.
 
That blurry pic is the only picture the seller provided? I would ask for more pic's. Transparency is key...even if you ''know'' the seller.

Post those pic's and I'm sure a clear answer will roll out of this thread.
 
i'm not sure they sold any/many parkerized ones of that year

photo could simply be bad

could be blued by the owner

if it's a good price, buy it

the sheath is worthy :D
 
I have one that was badly painted black at the Effingham plant...... I have no idea how many were made or sold this way but, I think, not many....... Hope this helps........
