I have been drooling over the looks of the Blackjack Grunt. Does anybody here have one? How thick is the blade? Good and bad points please.

Thanks in Advance!!!

I have one, cant remember if the balde is 3/16", or not?

It's a well made knife like all ken's knives, but it is on the "bulky" side. It's a little too big (and heavy) to be a small sheath carry knife, and not quite big enough for light chopping. However it is a nice knife and has great slicing ability. Makes a decent "around the camp" knife.

The grunt is 3/16" thick. I really like the knife. It is comparable in length and weight to my CS SRK but is allot wider. And cuts far more effectively too because of the edge design - the handle is large & this makes it "Big" for a relatively short bladed knife. However, the handle is about the most comfortable design you have ever held though. It is just the right diameter for my hand and feels very secure.

As far as good and bad points, that all depends upon the intended application. Due to the incredible cutting ability and grip security even when wet, it would make a great Hurricane knife (IOW, the EDC sheath knife) or boating knife. It is also good for food preparation and light chopping.

The Grunt gets   IMO...

Thanks James. I have big hands so I am glad to hear about the grip being large. The Becker handles fit me just fine or are maybe just a tad too small. I think I am going to order one with my stock order this week. Thanks for helping push me over the edge :)

I just recently began doing some research on the blackjack grunt. I really like the look of this knife. Thanks for the information, very useful!
