I just ordered a trailguide, and I also own a GRUNT and a ANNACONDA 2 BOWIE. the GRUNT & ANNACONDA are awesome! I am just wondering why they dont seem to be that popular? I am very curious to see how many of you agree with me or disagree.

I bought a Model 5 that the UPS dude is probably delivering right about now... I'll let you know how it is when I get home after work.

I recently picked up a Trailguide myself--fit and finish were superb, very even grinds, and it came (of course) extremely sharp. These are a serious jump, in my opinion, over the old Effingham versions and easily worth the money. I know some don't like some of the changes that have been made, but to me they're mostly an improvement, especially the slightly larger handles. I am not saying looks mean nothing to me, but having the knife be comfortable in my hand means a whole lot more. I always thought the original's handles were too small, so I guess I'm biased.

I think their lack of presence on the forums isn't really an issue of popularity, so much as just that they are pretty much producing familiar patterns out of familiar materials. They're doing it very well, in my opinion, but it doesn't make for much "what's new?" type of discussion for the knife forums. I think you'll be very happy with it when it arrives.

10Dragons -

The new Blackjack knives are seriously over-rated, and no self-respecting knife nut would admit to owning one.

Because I'm such a nice guy and feel sorry for you, I will take these off your hands for only $20, and dispose of them properly. You will no longer need to feel embarassed!

Then you can buy some decent knives, such as they advertise on the Home Shopping Network! :D

I got my Model 5 last night.
Definitely it is a very nice knife. Sharp as heck, very well finished, and extremely comfortable to hold and cut stuff with.

Hey grandma!
It must be frusatrating to be senile and probably wearing a diaper,
keep your stupid replies to yourself, big man hiding behind a computer screen.
I am glad you dont like Blackjack knives i can only imagine the crap you must like.

Mr. Dragons,

The man was kidding with you.

They call it Sarcasm.

You have misunderstood him.
