So a few months ago I got a blackjack lite hawk. At 1st I was iffy on it until it arrived now I love it . It was made by bark river knives and carries thier lifetime warranty, fit and finish is great it's convexed edge is stupid sharp and it's light and easily carried. It could work as a tactical hawk but in my mind all hawks have a tactical ability (I hate the tactical term) but this hawk would also be nice for hunters when it comes to large game or removing the hind legs Ect. Would I buy it again yep will they make them again well according to bark river....no...so grab 1 while you can.
Also I haven't done it but it looks like you can remove the handles and wrap in paracord or what have you.

What was your reason to purchase over the CRKT kangee? thank you

Well it's actually made by BRKT and carries their warranty, they are only gonna be made once, small but not too small and as it says it's light super sharp edge and the spike tip is too but I'm not a huge fan of spikes but I've found a few ways to use them nothing tactical but camping/bushcraft wise. It is also super quick in hand and you can choke up on it for finer tasks and no doubt you could use it on butchering game and such. I'm poor so I have to be picky on what I buy and this was worth it I called bark river to verify this info and they will re handle them if you want another color, material ect

I don't know which one to choose. The Kangee or the Lite Hawk ? I haven't seen not even one review of the Lite Hawk and I wonder why. Is it so bad that , almost, nobody
gets it ?
On the other side , the Kangee seems to do a lot better.
Can you, please, help ?
Thank you

the kangees scales seem to be a little more forgiving then the lite hawk, but both use good steel, although i would probably choose the sk5 steel on the kangee

I never gave it a review as I got it just for antipersonnel. Now it has found its way on hikes and fishing trips and it has held up just fine. You either love it or hate it kinda deal and I love mine.

Thank you lazy otter.
You are talking about the Lite Hawk.. Correct ?
Basically and from what I read the differences between the two , are minor.
They use , almost , the same quality of steel , the kangee uses the SK-5 and the Lite Hawk the 1095. Maybe the kangee has a small advantage here, due to edge retention.
What I never understood is why the retail price of the Lite Hawk is $345,00, compared with the kangee that costs only $185,00.
Both prices are without special offers that you can find in various sellers.

You can find the lite hawk much cheaper I sent you a email on where to find them. This was a one time only run and they were made by Bark River. It is super nice and can take a beating and has a nice sheath! You could edc it. I do sometimes! Also it's super quick in hand ! Get 1 !

Very nice pair lazy otter !
You have convinced me. I will take the Lite Hawk. I found it for $161.95 at Knifeworks ( http://www.knifeworks.com/search.aspx?find=lite+hawk ) .
After all, the Kangee is out there and it will be for a long time.

Thank you, both of you, lazy otter and Highlander 20026 .
Very kind of you.

Glad I could help! Also the life time Bark River warranty covers it too! Also this is the only run they said they were gonna do of this so it will be a collectors item! You won't regret it!
