Just got my first necker. Not perfect.

First off the powder coat was hideous. I stripped it off. The handles were not even so I had to sand them down to make them flush. And a micro beveled, not so micro more like macro bevl! After re grinding it seems pretty good now.

But for $95. Maybe I'm crazy but the Damn thing should o
e near perfect, shouldn't it?

Oh, I also bead blasted the part that was powder coated. Looks pretty cool!

There is no such thing as a perfect production knife, especially at that price point.

here's one

I got mine without the scales so I paracord wrapped it. It's a pretty good deal for a 154cm neck knife with kydex sheath. Knife came razor sharp but after some stropping it got better.

Looks like you did a nice job! I was curious what it looked like b/c I have one of the satin ones with the natural scales. Nice knife, I really like mine. Slices like crazy!

Did your knives come with a zero convex?

I believe it did, but I'll have to go check.....

yes it does.

also, the scales were listed as "natural" but as you can see from the photo, there is a lot of red in there...and mine weren't flush either, but it doesn't really bother me.

Imperfect fit is common on handles that aren't fitted to the knife at the factory. It's to be expected. The micro bevel shouldn't be there, but it's a common issue with current Bark Rivers. Not a huge deal.
