Reportedly, Ken Warner's BlackJack Knives will soon be putting out some Panga models. These will be made in the USA by Mike Stewart's Bark River Knife and Tool Co. (BRKT) and look interesting. http://www.knifeforums.com//ubbthre...=333031&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1

I've got two knives made by BRKT and they are both excellent. One is the BRKT Woodland and the other is the BlackJack Slick model with the Bone/Stag handle which is by far my favorite knife. These BlackJack/Bark River collaborations really look good to me. Someone please get one of these new Pangas and tell me about it. :D

I have an original Blackjack Panga. Very nicely balanced and it was one of the best factory edges I've ever seen. Very lightweight for it's size.

Glad to see it's coming back out. I also have one of the original Pangas. If I ever had to use a knife to take out an intruder, I'd want it in my hand. :) It's has a long thin blade and you could put a razor edge on it. One swipe would slice someone real bad. :) Seems like it would be a little thin for any serious chopping. Maybe if you were cutting through light brush.

Kelly Worden is collaborating with Ontario and bringing out Worden's Special Forces Machete.

Kelly is the long-time contract close combatives instructor for the 1st Special Forces Group at Ft. Lewis, Washington. Part of his program is use of the machete for CQB.

His design is awesome in every respect and grounded in both real world and daily training with this particular weapon.

This will be the one I pick up when it comes out:D
