Kelly, do you live near Frank? I hope to be able to pay him a visit when we travel to BC this summer. he makes some wonderful knives. I assume you got this direct from Frank and not thru Ron?

Murray,

I'm about 40 min away from Frank.
He is a great wealth of knowledge and Talent.
My Favorite is still the first carved Pearl I bought from him about Two years ago. I'll post some pictures of that when i get a chance to photograph it.
When are you coming thru BC? There are many excellant Knifemakers out this way.
We have a Knife show coming up in Kamloops April21st.

What knives do you have from Frank? I think i saw you post a mammoth tooth folder of his.
Where are you from Murray?

Kelly

Hi Kelly,

I'm located now in the Toronto area. Ron Lockhart and I used to live about 10 min apart before he moved to Van. Isl. I was born in Penticton and grew up in Nakusp. We will be travelling this summer. Email me and maybe we can get together. I hope to meet with an admin from PC Tech in PalTalk who lives in Kamloops too and hopefully stop in and visit Bob Lay also.

here are a couple of Franks folders that I have

Nice work. I agree on the quality. Here are a matched set I did for an upcoming new dealer:

Frank Niro has been represented by Ron Lockhart, as is Roger Hatt. Roger's work is also similar and just as clean.

Good luck!

Coop

I haven't been here for ages. Kelly gave me the heads up on his postings. Quite a surprise to see the postings of Murray's and then Coop's !!! Very enjoyable guys !!! Thank you very much !!!

Hey Coop can you give us a web site for the new dealer? That is is if he wouldn't mind of course. Thanks Frank

Hi Frank,

Not yet. He isn't done or ready for the public. LOTS of fine gents folders in pearl..... :) (Send me an email.)

News when it's Grand Opening Day!

Coop

I forgot to add that I do welcome knife enthusiasts to my home for a visit.I don't often have more than one finished folder on hand because as Coop said Ron Lockhart, as well as being a friend, because of his abilities in graphics and sales handles almost all of my sales. My shop is always in one very terrible dusty mess where many would only want to look in from the door way. On the other hand we have a very comfortable home with a beautiful view from our living room and deck and my wife is always pleased to show her collection of my folders.

Hi Frank and of course Kelly

the plan is to get to visit you guys this summer. will also be seeing Ron and others on the Island.

Hope to also visit another internet friend from Kamloops who is an admin in PC Tech on PalTalk.

From what I gather, the knife room is open periodically in Paltalk still. try checking about he supper hour EDT under the Miscellaneous category.

I've seen some of Frank Niro's knives at shows. Always superb design, fit and finish. Pleasure to view this thread. As always, Coop's pictures just make the details POP on those knives.

Thanks,
Peter
