Just finished this lockback. This is the knife I want to turn into an automatic. The blade and backbar are 440C, the bolsters are damasteel, the slabs are blacklip and the liners are titanium. Closed length is 3 3/4" open length is 7". The bolster is 1/2" wide at the front. Please let me know what you think. Thanks for looking

That's a very interesting and attractive knife! If it were auto, how would the grip be when the blade fires withuot something to brace on? Would it be a gentle deployment? I know that many of my automatic knives have a pretty good recoil when I fire them open. Thoughts?

Sorry I don't understand the question. The lockbar provides a stop at the open position and the blade is so light that recoil should be negligible. If I can put the button right smack dab in the middle of the bolster for thumb push then the blade should just rotate as it does currently but faster. I am obviously missing something. Which is part of the reason I am trying to find diagrams of the mechanism for the auto.
