Blackout BOD?

I recently saw a post that states the Blackout BOD is on the right side of the blade and can be seen when it is about halfway folded under the blade itself. I'm looking and looking, but for the life of me can't seem to find the date. So my real question is that if a Blackout does not have a date on it, was it made before 2000? Thanks guys. Tony P.

Hey Tony, I don't have a Blackout, but the BOD markings, if placed in the same area as the Boa, are on the blade side opposite the pivot screw head, and you're right, the blade has to be closed at an angle to the handle around 45 to 50 degrees. The BOD is stamped on the side of the blade, real close to the handle. They can be easy to miss. If there's no markings there, I'd guess it's pre 2000, but don't quote me on this.

Blackout's have been around a long time. If I remember right, they used to be a best seller for Kershaw. I gotta get one w/ the new steel. Man, I'm a slacker!
