Just ordered one of these Blackwater Aculus Limited Edition folders made by LionSteel.

Limited run of 100 units to commemorate the launch of the first Blackwater folder. You can choose your serial# from those available.

This is basically a LionSteel TiSpine with matte black blade and body. My LionSteel TiSpine in matte gray is a stunning gentleman's folder. Remember the body is made from one solid piece of titanium (no two pieces being screwed together). It feels great in my hand and exudes class.

This one has a serious glass breaker clip screw. I want that on all my EDC folders.

Wow, that looks amazing. I just got my first Lion Steel last week, an SR-1 Ti. I absolutely love the approach that they use for the titanium body.

I was planning on getting a TiSpine eventually but I'm tempted to just get one of these beauties.

BTW, if you don't mind, what number did you get?

I should be receiving my BW Aculus by Thursday and then I'll post a picture beside my matte gray TiSpine so that you can decide.

My Serial# will be 50!

Highly interested in this one, can't wait to see your pics!

Ordered Monday and it came in today. Great presentation. Serial# 50.

Nice score. If you don't mind sharing your serial#.

I ordered mine last week and it hasn't come in yet.

I tried ordering last week but it was not possible due to out of stock status at the Blackwater USA store.

As I mentioned previously, I ordered on Monday afternoon and received it on Wednesday!

You should contact whoever you purchased it from ASAP before they run out!

Yeah, I'd give DPx customer service a call to see. I called in to order mine last week, but it shipped Tuesday, and I got it today. Obviously, things were pretty hectic after Blade, but it should ship now.

Yeah, I called and ordered mine from DPx as well. I sent them an email, will see what they say. She said for sure the number was mine (#027), so hopefully they set it aside. They were sending mine by UPS and if they shipped out Tuesday I'd probably get it tomorrow or so.

Wow, thank you for posting the pics. Especially the comparison picture.

The understated look of the Aculus is extremely attractive. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'll be able to get my hands on one of these before they sell out. I've got a pre-ordered Microtech DOC that I'm holding funds for, and monthly bills coupled with the fact that I'm trying to pay off my student loan debt.

Apparently mine was one of the ones that went to Blade with the group so it should be on the way soon. Can't wait!

Does anyone care to speculate as to how collectable the Aculus might become? I was lucky and found one yesterday for three bills. I'll share the serial # when it arrives.

Got mine in today and it's #12. Blackwater has about 30 still in stock as of right now. The Aculus is advertised as having a HRC of 61, one to two points higher than the TiSpine at 59-60, so there is more to it than just a makeover. It's a beauty.

#30 here

Only criticism for me is how the jimping sits down into the handle making basicaly non functional, well that and mine did not come very sharp. Beautiful little knife and very cool packaging, although how did you mofo's get stickers?
