I read somewhere that its folding knife version of the 710 had a bit different design. Does anyone have one? How is it different from the regular production BM model?

Thanks!

Danke mein freund! (Hope I got that right. . .)

Considering the current exchange rate and personal finances, I have lusted after the BM 710HS for the longest time. For me, it is THE folder to have. But now after a closer inspection of the Blackwater variant, THIS knife might rival my affections.

Now if some kindhearted soul would be generous enough to donate an early X'mas present, hehehe.

I wan't looking into this model but I was looking at the Tactical fixed that was on the cover of the jan. TK Mag.

I must say, I appriciated the little thought Blackwater put into their design.

For their Tactical fixed it did scratched on my itching spot. Serr. edge on top so user can have full cutting edge. Logo on the handle is actually the thumb draw tab. Little redesign that actually made a knife that much better, yet those thoughts doesn't come cheap.

There is a bit of stocking issue i must say. You can't always find it, unless you willing to pay for Manifacture suggested price.

They do deserve worth a bit more....but in the end, i still went for BM because of good deals.

I might also add (at the risk of sounding "mall-ninjaish" though) that having the Blackwater logo doesn't hurt too!

Keine Ursache :)

Almost right, substantives in German (Freund) should be started with capitals.

I have not a Blackwater (yet), but my the reason to buy a 710HS were those two letters after a number ;)

710 is a very good knife in general (it stays not without a cause on BM offer so long time), but using of M2 makes it very tough and results in great edge holding.

So I would not compare Blackwater one to HS version, because not the blade shape makes a really difference.

But if You don't care about M2, a Blackwater 710 could be interesting alternative IMO.

Well, the price could be also an issue, as wuyeah already wrote.
