I hope this photo communicates how cool this Blackwood turned out to be. It's just not that often that I find blackwood that has FIGURE! This actually has a few eyes on the obverse side, as well as some burl.
Hand filed into shape to fit right smack in the "pocket" of your hand!
The 5 3/4" clipped blade was forged from large stock 5160, and selectively hardened.
The stainless guard and un-seen finial are designed for full take-down accomodation.
Balance point is right where the handle material meets the back of the guard.
Heavy leather sheath.
Should make a really nice belt knife for roving, or simply to toss in the back pack or Bug-out-Bag.
Thanks for letting me share!

Nice one Karl.

I think you and I both love blackwood, and this looks like an exceptional piece.

Very nice. It is neat seeing blackwood with some figure. I sold a knife at Gembloux that had kind of a "curly" figured blackwood handle. Now get it to the customer quickly before exposure to air turns it completely black!!!;)

that's a cool knife:thumbup:
About how much does it weigh?
