Looks great - that cord wrap over wood is cool. I'm really getting an urge for one of his medium hunters done up like this.

Specs:

3/16" D2, blade length 4.3 inches, OAL 9 inches, double edged.

Tang is tapered and drilled. Handle material is spalted maple (I think) with epoxy impregnated nylon cord wrap over top. Comes with multicarry Kydex sheath.

Thanks for all of the compliments!

Fantastic!! Just when I think they can't possibly get any nicer, Neil does something like this. Congrat's to you both!:D

When Csaba mentioned this idea....... it WAS HIS idea by the way!! I new that in order to properly chord wrap the handle, the finger notches would have to go. To me the grip is my favorite part of the standard Grifter, the double finger notches feel NICE and indexing is effortless.
The blank really looked FUNKY with the handle straight, its finger notches BUZZED OFF. It looked even funnier with the thin slabs of wood on it's tapered tang. BUT, a that point I KNEW that once the wrapping was applied, it was GOING to work!!!
I found the result to be a rather slim, chord wrapped knife with the usuall great grip this type of handle provides. The balance worked out well also.
I was so happy with it, I cut out another blank a few days ago to make another one that I would LIKE to keep for myself!! :D GREAT idea Mr. Suveges!!!

Thanks for the kind words guys!!

Neil
