This piece of African Blackwood was black as a piece of coal when I started, but what I found inside was quite a variation of color. Gives this Take-down Hunter quite a bit of character.
Headed for Montana to chase Elk.
Forged down from heavy 5160 square stock and selectively hardened.
Stainless guard and Take-down hardware.
(Now, back to getting ready for the Ohio Show.)

Being able to work with a fine piece of wood, really adds a lot to the making of the knife.

A classic:thumbup:

Another excellent knife. Makes a pretty picture and I am sure the actual knife is even better. Jim
