Well... we picked them up personally from Neil over Easter weekend. Neil had been working on a special project for my dad, brother, and me. 3 medium hunters with D2 steel, redwood burl handles, mosaic pins, and file work. The trick was to make all three as close to alike as possible. Neil did a great job as usual. Finally, Kenny Rowe topped them off with three matching cross draw High Ride sheaths. The only difference is our initials on the back of the sheaths.

Sorry... I don't have pics just yet. But Neil promised me he would be on the lookout for this thread and post the pic he took. So keep coming back until you see Neil's post with the pics. The knives are amazing. Even my brother who is not so much a knife nut could not keep his hands off his.

Thanks to Neil Blackwood and Kenny Rowe for doing a great job and getting them done in perfect time.

BLACKWOOD POSTED PIC TWO POSTS DOWN!!!

Once again, Kenny did a FANTASTIC job with the leatherwork!! I tried for about 2 hours to get a good shot of the three knives by themselves. Between the sun, dust, pollen and Florida BUGS I came up empty handed. The above shot shows them in their sheaths!!

It was a pleasure having the Turner family AND there two VERY cool dogs visit last weekend. Making 3 identical knives was fun as well as a challenge :)

Thanks again Jack!!

Well.. there you go. Just so everyone knows I believe the one on viewer's left is mine, the middle one is my brother's, and the one on the right in my dad's. We wanted nice but useable. We went with very plain Rowe sheaths and I think they came out great.

You can see the wood varies a little. My dad's (viewer's right)is the most different. But the shades and look of the wood is very close in all of them.

Obviously you can't see the filework, but believe me it is great. I may be able to scan in some pics next week to show off the filework. We took a couple when we got home.

Oh yeah... we added brown leather lanyards to match.

Thanks for looking..JT

Impressive stuff, guys! An "embarrassment of riches!" as my old boss used to say. Congrats.

3 months or so of Anorexia would probably do me good:barf:  Bathing suit season is already here and I look pretty DUMPY :(

Somehow the idea of Neil in a set of Speedos is something that I just don't want to think about. ;)

dudes! those look very awesome.. and I must admit the Juniper burl and this redwood burn Blackwood is using is mighty fine! :) I find it very charming that you your bro and yoru father got matching pairs.. I can only wish my family was as tightly knit.. we've seens enough skin lets lsee some steel here :)

Rumor has it there may be a rare 4th Turner Blackwood that Neil has hanging unfinished in his shop. The word on the street is that Neil was so concerned about having the three look identical in filework and blade shape/grind that he made a forth one just in case something happened to one of the three.

If this is true, you may want to contact Neil and have him finish it off in redwood burl with double mosaic pins. ;) I am sure Rowe can make you a fine sheath and you too can become a member of this rare limited membership club. :D

Goog luck looking for the 4th Turner Blackwood. I hear it is out there somewhere. ;)
