I just received my new Blackwood Neck Ninja - Variant a few days ago, and just had the opportunity to carry it today.
This is a great little knife. While I will not hold myself out as a knife expert, I will tell you that I can tell quality when I am presented with it. This knife is a quality piece of art. The gentle recurve of the blade is elegant, and to my eyes, the bevel and edge of the blade are utterly symmetrical. The handle, a combination of thinly shaped stablized burl, and resin-dipped black cord over-rap provides a firm grip and easy indexing. The overall impression of the knife is handsome.
From a performance perspective, the knife came sharp and ready for cutting, straight from Neil. In addition, he provided two custom fitted kydex sheaths, which hold the blade snug, without rattle, yet releases with little effort.
I don't know how well-known Neil Blackwood is, but for those of you who don't know him, he strikes me as a gracious gentleman who is fair dealing. To get an idea of his work, check out his website.
Thanks Neil,
Jerome French (aka Zzzen_Dog)
