It's always great to see Rick and his incredible work

His pieces have an ancient and organic look that really appeals to me plus I really like the man :)

One of my favorite makers.

Despite his obvious Canadian impediment... ; )

Nice work, guys. Sorry I missed it.

Love Rick's work, especially the coupling of function with unique aesthetic.

"Depends whether you like your grandaddy or not..." lmao!

I'll own one of his blades one day.

I don't have to tell those who know him... but a conversation with Joe Paranee leaves you pumped and ready to rock. The guy just oozes positive energy(BTW, I think you can clear that up with some penicillin, bud). Joe is a good friend, shoots straight and is funny as hell! I felt privileged to be invited in on one of these promo vids.

Thank you my friend.
Rick

It was so great to finally get to meet Rick face to face. Such a great guy and amazingly talented.

There's just something about that million dollar smile and his sexy shaved head! :D Seriously, Rick is very down-to earth, very knowledgeable and very well-spoken, so it's a real treat to hang out with him + talk shop with him. Reminds me of visiting with Burt Foster.

I was standing on the other side of the display case when they were shooting this, and almost fell over, I was laughing so hard. The piece is WICKED too... to use my pal Stuart Branson's wordage, it has a visceral feel to it. Very bad-ass. And he has built such a defined style, you can spot Rick's work from across the room.  :)

Joe--

Just wanted to give a big "Thank You" shout-out to you and all the makers who shared your spotlight there from the Diskin booth. Your vids really get the viewer involved in the vibe of the show, and it's great to finally see some of these makers like Rick and Sam on "film", to get to know them a little better, along with some fantastic blades.

Rick makes good stuff.
I just have to make a belt sheath for the karambit he made that I have, and then I can take it out in the woods. :)

No way am I trusting the mail system with that one of a kind knife, so the sheath will not look nearly as good as the blade does...seeing as my leather work is nowhere near the level of his blade-craft.

Cool vid, thanks for posting it up. That looked bigger in the vid than I thought from pics.

not only does Rick's work look awesome, it works awesome! He does a convex edge better than any I've seen, and his heat treatment leaves nothing to be desired.

Great blade!
Mr. Paranee, you handled that blade in a fluid motion, like it was made for you.

Thanks Joe, for showing it off in the vids!

If I was not there selling knives but buying I probable would have bought this beauty

But I'm off to the Amazon in a few months and it just was not in the budget

But it hurt to hand it back :)

Great piece my friend
