Ok, this may have been done before, but I just sobered up and can't remember if I've ever read anything about it before... so here it is.

If you could put any Busse handle on any Busse blade what would you choose it to be... Multiple answers are allowed.

I think my choice would be micarta ASH-1 scales on a Satin Jack, I like the feel of the swells and the grip of the micarta. I also like the length of the Satin Jack and the blade is not as high as the ASH.

I would put a Chuckette blade on a NMFBM handle and call it MY PREEESHUSSSS!!

Or I would put a Chuckette blade on a Chuckette handle and just go with that.

An Argonne Assault handle with a clip-point CGFBM blade with comp finish would be pretty cool, too.

Great thread idea, by the way!

A few I would go with...

- AD handle on a Meaner blade
- SFNO Mag Handle on a Badger LE blade
- SARSquatch handle on a HOGFSH blade

Heck, how about a SAR5 handle on a Nick or SFNO?

euro handle on a SHBM blade (euro handle on any big choppers really)
SF handle on SARSquatch blade

A SJTAC blade, with a barely shortened ASH-1 handle, say cut 3/4" inch off. Magnum G-10 slabs that are a bit thicker than normal (the magnum slabs on a regular ASH is perfect for my hand), blade thickness 3/16.

I like the blade geometry of the SJTAC. I like the handle design on the ASH-1.

- AD handle on a Meaner blade

...you mean something like that :D:

OOOOH, I like this game!

I would REALLY love a ASH-1 handle on the NMFBM blade or even just a FBM blade but without the corrugated bevels. That would be.......Well words just can't begin to explain how awesome that would be.

Rope cut snakeskin on a BATAC, or rop ecut sage G-10 of FBM.

Yep I went there... soak it in.

these three custom combo's would be nice

ruck kensai blade with a basic 9 handle
a choiless badger attack blade with a swamp rat m6 handle
a choiless cultellus blade on a swamp rat hairy carry handle

I would put an AD handle on an AD blade for the perfect Busse. Oh, wait.........

I was thinking the same thing!

I also thought a Satin Jack Tac with a BATACLE handle (of course the Jack would have to gain a little weight for this to happen);) The BATACLE and SE have the perfect fullness and feel. I just wish the SJTAC had been given the same opportunity with thicker stock. Mmmmm, a .25"+ SJTAC, ...maybe a little nose heavy...ooohhhh, wait...Ban could always throw on a distal taper:thumbup:

I would go a BATAC LE blade with a DC 0.25" (full flat grind) with a SFNO mag black micarta handle that has a very slightly more curve near the end (almost like an ergo handle but not as pronounced).

A short and flat pommel like a SARsquatch. (for light hammering.)
I would also skeleton the full tang under the scales with a few extra holes to reduce overall weight and shift the center of mass forwards to make it slightly blade heavy.

A very handy survival/camping size with mid/light weight blade.
Not too long or heavy to be placed on combat vest or LBE.
A good light chopper with the blade heavy and a good end of handle gripping ability.
A very strong prying 0.25" thick blade.
A good slicer with the full flat grind.
A good thrust or stabbing grip on SFNO handle.
