The Sebenza is thicker at the tip, due to the fact that the edge sweeps up to the spine. You can see this by looking at the edge. CRK sharpens these on a belt and sweeps the blade to a less keen angle at the tip. This makes for a strong tip, although not as keen. If you were to maintain the 20 degree angle all the way through to the tip, the way a Lansky or EdgePro does, you would wind up with a visually displeasing edge with about twice the bevel height at the tip.
I am wondering if anyone might know the appropriate angle at the tip. I am experimenting with hand sharpening on water stones and it would be helpful to have an idea of what angle to shoot for.
