Please don't flame me. I have maybe a dumb question. What angle should I sharpen my Code 4 and Recon. Also my Ultimte hunters.i use them all pretty often and need to actually sharpen the Code4, not just touch it up. TIA

I would suggest starting with trying to find the maker's angle by using a sharpie on the edge. See if you can't polish up the original edge.

If you need to reprofile, 40 degrees inclusive is a good starting point for just about any steel.

Cold Steel website's FAQ covers edge angles. Basically for the big blades, it's 40 inclusive. For the small blades, do 30 inclusive. That's if you're using a sharpening system, like the Spyderco triangle sharpmaker. If just using a stone, you can't really go wrong sharpening at half of a right triangle for most knives. (45 degrees divided by 2 = 22 1/2 degrees) For a small folder, you might want to lay the knife just a bit flatter.
