Happens to the best of us I'm sure. I laid open my knuckle clear to the bone with my BK9 on my first outing with it. It was dark, I hiked into base camp and was greeted by my buddies with a cold one. Lacking a proper bottle opener, I did what any other responsible dude in the woods would do, used the spine of the 9 to pop the cap off. I had no idea I had cut myself until I felt the warm stickiness coating my hand moments later... Somehow the blade must have turned or flipped or something, still have no idea to this day. Just bandaged it up and carried on with my weekend.... No pics of that particular bite, but I do have one (post bandaging) of when my axe bit me this last winter..... That was fun...

Taught me a good lesson actually: It is safer to baton a knife through smaller pieces of wood than it is to try and manhandle an axe through it...

I have yet to get myself seriously with a Becker, but all of them have drawn blood in minor snicks here and there during fondling and use. No picture proof, though.

That looks like a "tightening the card wrap on my handle" kind of bite...
Did the Knife Come out of the sheath?
That was exactly what happened, wrapping with paracord the handle and not paying enough attention, expensive way to learn the lesson.

That is one impressive picture. Now i gotta find my Bk9 bite photo. My wife took it at the hospital. Under protest she took it and mumbled something about my Southern Heritage and cousins. Lol

Are y'all playing catch with Becker knives without the appropriate knife gloves?
