Blade Book Idea

Greetings! I have a buddy who is a coinsure of fine sporting knives and is an avid collector. He sharpens and maintains, but that is as far as his interests go in regard to "hand-on". I was wondering if you would be so kind as to make a few suggestions on a nice table top reference book for a Christmas gift. Early thanks for your help.

If your buddy is only interested in sporting knives my suggestion might be too broad based, but the nicest coffee table books on knives are probably the Knives, Points of Interest books by Weyer. I think there are five of them. I have noticed quite a few are available at amazon.com.
