I went down to Pasadena, to visit my brother (and build him a second story balcony) and stopped in at the SoCal Knife Expo which happens every February. Of course, I always visit Mike in Feb!!
I'd sold some knives, and was looking for something purty for my collection. Lo an behold, I ran into these guys!!

On the left is Richard Rogers, and next to him, Bill Ruple.
The Blade Brothers!!
Well Bye Bye wallet; there on Richard's table was this!!

Everyone's got to own a sowbelly, and when I saw the hidden scalloping inside the backsprings, I was hooked! Nicest pearl on earth, just doesn't scan too well!
Feeling pretty pleased with myself, I turned 180, and ran into THESE!!

Now who doesn't like stag?? Or trappers?? Or filework?? Or Norfolk Whittlers (cousin of the Wharncliffe)??
Bye Bye checkbook!
Guess I have to sell a bunch more knives!!
Free room and board helps:D !

Well they are sure a lot prettier than that ugly old money. Gorgeous knives! I imagine the socializing wasn't too hard to handle either.

The Expo is one of the best all around shows in the country. Makers like Richard and Bill help a bunch in making is so. Some fine pieces Waynorth.
