Here is a 20 inch Sirupati (20.5 and 2 lbs -- not marked but looks like Kumar's work) that has been rehandled by Terry Sisco and he has done a commendable job. The wood is black walnut, 15 years old so we are told, and guaranteed not to crack. Scabbard is a little tight but that is an easy fix. Everything else looks very good.

As an introductory offer to get you acquainted with Terry's work take this khukuri for an even $100 and we will pay shipping.

Call or email if interested.

An outstanding job, I'm impressed! I would guess that Terry does not use "Himalayan Epoxy" to fill the handle and bolster cavaties, but would like to know what he does use. Terry, Uncle Bill?

I think Terry uses some decent grade US epoxy but I can't remember what he told me. He'll be around and can answer for sure. We already have two or three guys who want a khukuri handled by him in the walnut.

Beautiful wood.

Yea, I definitely want one with that handle with maybe a Gelbu, BAS or WW2 blade!

Bill,
I use Devcon 30 min. epoxy, it gives me more time to line the handle up with the blade.
I'm glad you all liked the handle.
Thanks,
Terry

Terry,

You did an outstanding job! I can't wait to see your next knife.

Thanks, Ben. Sometimes it feels good to be the low down dirty dog.

Uncle Bill, the reaction of us to your forum specials would probably be entertaining to watch if it were possible.

By the way, when you punch in on one of those specials and realize no one else may have yet responded, the pressure to decide is intense.

Damn, Kevinb17, you're from Tulsa! We have way more people on here from around NE Oklahoma than mere chance would suggest. And it's even funnier in this case since Terry worked on that knife in Claremore (fifteen minutes away) and now it will be coming back. I guess the knife liked it here! We need to have a big HI get together for the Tulsa people. I've only got the one 18" Sher AK right now to show but that's bound to change.

Actually, there's enough guys within a 30 mile radius down there to have your own Oklahoma HI Khukuri Konvention.

I am a neighbor for those of you who don't know -- grew up in Cherokee, Kansas (SE corner near Pittsburg for those who have never heard of it --pop. maybe 800).

Oh, I think Terry has a couple more BirGorkha blades he is rehandling. Stay tuned.
