So I found out this week that the military has kindly decided to relocate the family from freezing cold Nebraska, to tropical Puerto Rico!!!

I haven't found anything saying I can't take my blades with me (a 3 year tour) so with not only the increased humidity but also the salt water, I want to be sure I don't run into any oxidation issues.

I know Infi is supposed to be pretty damn rust resistant, but was wanting to be sure I protect my investment in this new location.

One part that sucks, my guns have to stay stateside. So i guess if anyone breaks in they will get to meet my Gladius instead of a bullet.

On the upside, great fishing, the two places we found to live are either right on or in walking distance to the beach!, scuba! Need a Busse dive knife boss man!!!

I like to put a little Corrosion X on my blades. I rub a couple of drops on the blade with my fingers and then wipe it off with a rag. I don't use Corrosion X on knives I use for food prep though.

Thanks for your service brother .
Keep your blades well oiled and you should be fine.
Any blades you have that are coated in SR 101 just keep a close eye on and beat the rust off if necessary

I wipe my stripped infi with a rag that has Ballistol on it from repeated use... The coating tends to be light, and it's food safe. I just rinse or wipe it dry before using the blade on food.
