I recently purchased a new ZT 0566 and to me it looks like it is not quite centered and is much closer to the side where the pivot screw is. I have pictures but haven't figured out yet how to attach them to a post since I don't have a random website to post them on and provide the URL. Not sure the pictures are all that good though. I have done all of the steps for centering that people on this forum and Kai/Kershaw themselves have given me. Didn't seem like it changed anything and at one point it evidently made my torsion bar come out (I did not completely loosen the handle screws or pivot screw). Which leads to my next question.
Since the torsion bar came out anyway, I went ahead and left it out and put the knife back together. With the torsion bar out, when i tried to flip the blade with the flipper, no matter how briskly I flipped it and even with wrist action, the blade would only partially deploy and not lock in. I tried loosening the pivot screw a couple of times and nothing changed except that it seemed the pivot screw was way too loose. Given this experience, I'm not sure why people de-assist their 0566's, but I'm sure I did something wrong.
