All my Spyderco's (only a few) came perfectly centered from retailers. I don't know how Spyderco does it beside having very tight quality margins. Well, I do. I did have off-center ones from secondary markets. I got one that had some sort of a twisting play - the edge side wobbles but not the spine side (if it makes sense). The previous owner obviously opened it and did not know how to put it back together. I fixed it. All I had to do was to loosen the pivot screws and the spacer screws. Then tighten the pivot screws till the blade was smooth but no play, before finally tightening the spacer screws. If you have no blade play, you may only need to loosen the pivot screws (half a turn?). Open the blade and push it from the side towards the direction it was leaning when close (I know it does not sound right). Wrap your blade or your hands to protect yourself before you do that. You are not going to be strong enough to bend the blade with a knife like Manix 2. You will just be flexing the frame. Tighten things back up just enough. This also means that it might go off center again with hard use. If doing all this voids the warranty, don't be an idiot like me.
