Blade centering

Hi all,
Just looking for some information about adjusting folding knife blades.
What are some of the common causes of blade misalignment and what methods do you use to re-center a blade?
I'm interested in both traditional pinned folders and screw constructed folders.

Check out the Benchmade forum. Maybe a month or two or three ago, there were a couple threads on how Benchmade adjusts blade centering. Basically, it involves applying pressure to force the blade to center. For example, if the left side of the blade is too close to the frame when the blade is closed, you open the blade and apply pressure to the left side of the blade. The threads give more detail.

Keep in mind that frame lock and liner lock can be affected by the lock pressure aswell
