I just sharpened my small Micarta tonight but when I looked at it in the light I noticed a chip. Can I use it like this or will the edge roll?

I would not hesitate to use it.
.. and I would try to get rid of the chip as fast as possible.
Pics?

I took a pretty good chip outta my 21 a while back. I just ran with it. Unless you are doing paper cut tests, you don't notice it. The chip actually helped if you were trying to slice a tomato.

If it bothers you take it out, it will not hurt anything if you do not. Like Kidcongo said unless you are cutting paper it is really not going to matter much. That being said if it were mine I would take it out, those little things drive me nuts, just take as little steel off as you can.

+1..........

With all my user knives usually I reset the bevel, write down the degrees. If there's ever a problem I just look up the knife degree throw it on the wicked edge, remove as little metal as possible to get the blemish out. Piece of cake.

Don't worry, just use it and enjoy it! Use it as an excuse to pick that knife up more because you are trying to dull it

A chip is kind of the oposite of a roll. When over stressed steel will either bend, or break. A chip is a break, and a roll is a bend.
