Suppose you could legally carry a balisong as your "pocket knife" for utility purposes (just as you might currently carry a Spyderco Delica, or Cold Steel Voyager for example). What blade style would you find to be the most useful (or would you prefer, for whatever reason). Yes, you may include a kris if you think it would suit your purpose.

Now what possible purpose is there for a kris blade except krinkle fries...:D

I would stay with my sharpened swedge weehawk, 1/2 serrated.

Second choise would be tanto, then bowie, and finally Utility.

For my tasks as a cereal killer, I find the "spoon" blade style to be highly effective in scooping action.

Actually, I am one of those who take the risk of carrying around a bali for regular use when possible. I find that a BM 42 semi-serrated works in most every situation. That and a BM osborne folder take care of every concievable task.

Here we need the "Stealth" invisible model Tony :( ...but I do agree on the deep-belly Bowie...what a nice piece!

I've grown fond of my BM47 although I don't have any practical reasons for needing a tanto I like the way it looks.;) I'm lucky that its legal to carry a balisong where I live.

if I could get a 47S, then that'd be it. BUT I cant, so my 42S. When I do carry one at work, that's the one I carry. I've found it very useful

A bali with krinkle fry, and cereal capabilities, hmm; no scimitars, or Wharncliffes though. Well, I guess the good old Bowie has been around awhile for a good reason.
