Blade Coating

Is it just me or do blades with coatings seem to deploy ever so slightly slower than blades without?

Only thing I can think of is the air resistance might be a factor as a polished blade would have lower air resistance. Perhaps a small spoiler on the blade would help.

Please don't take the preceding seriously. Sometimes I just like to be a smartass.

Actually I can't think of any good reason for diffences in time deployment. Maybe some of the wiser heads on BF can give a better answer.
