I just got a beautiful hunter from Matt Bailey with a great hamon and am looking for some kind of protection for the blade from rust/patina. (and maybe even scratches) beyond regular oiling does anyone recommend any thing to keep the steel (1095) looking good?
I've seen where A.G. Russell has a silicone based product called RustFree ($6.95 per bottle) and am wondering what's the difference between this and say something like Liquid Wrench Silicone spray which you can get a whole can for about 3 bucks at lowes.
cost really isn't the main issue just wondering.
any help would be appreciated
thanks
Jon
