Blade coatings

Why doesnt Spyderco make coated blades anymore? I have a coated serrated endura and would love to have one with a metal clip in ats-55. Also why is the clip on the Military shiny stainless? That is the ONLY thing I dont like about that knife

Bob - We haven't found the "perfect" coating and the "imperfect" coatings make work for the Customer service dept in one way or another.

When we find what will satisfy us, I guarantee you'll see more coated blades.

The type of coating used on The Military clip requires tumble polish before coating, hence the shine. Sorry. We're still learning about this coating stuff. It is not as simple as it seems.
