Guys,
I'm fixing to make a plunge into the tactical fixed blade areana. What have you found to be the best in blade coatings? Is there a company that coats small runs of blades?

I'm looking for something that I can etch my logo into the blade before coating and it still show. Is there anything out there like that or am I just going to have to stamp a logo in?

Thanks!

I don't know how many knives that you are refering to by shot run but there are several products out of a company known a Brownells that deals with finishing weapons (primarily handgus, rifle and shotguns) that allow the infrequent or small run user to finish in a variety of materials. They have a web site tha is I believe "www.brownells.com" and might be worth a look.

Here at Running Dog we coat our blades with a product called "Gun Coat" from KG Products in California...We got the idea from Chris Reeves...

It comes in different colors and flat or glossy...We love it! Sprayed on with a $30 airbrush and baked in the oven at 300 deg. it is a good choice for the small knife maker...

E-mail me if you need an address for Joe Fazio at KG or more information...
