I recently purchased an AD with a Sage color blade. I always thought sage was a shade of green. My blade is tan in color. Then I read a thread that referenced Desert Sage. Are there two shades of sage?

Thanks,

Bill

I believe Desert Sage, Sage and Desert Olive are all the same color (a light tan)

If I'm wrong I'm sure someone will be along shortly to correct me.

:D:D

I declare it is Sage...or Desert Olive.....IT IS JUST WAY COOL:thumbup:

That is my new favorite:thumbup:

As an artist, I thought I'd weigh in. Generally speaking, the color "sage" is a slightly off-neutral grey, lightly tinged with green. I have a sage warden, and that's exactly what the blade color is- the color of dried sage leaves.

You know what they say, "Once you go sage".....you'll see it's the new rage

How about a picture?
Then we can all have a say cause
I have a little issue with seeing colors
So I just get black

Here's a desert olive Crash Rat:

Honestly, I'm not too into the sage. The color is fine, but the finish is TOO crinkly. It's too rough and seems to impede slicing. I like OD much better, if I have to have a coating. It might just be me, but the sage seems to wear away faster.
